Odisha CM Mohan Majhi to Visit UAE to Attract FDI

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will undertake a four-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 8 to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) to the state, Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain said on Tuesday.

Majhi will lead a high-level delegation during the visit and participate in a series of programmes aimed at engaging with potential investors and exploring new investment opportunities for Odisha.

According to Swain, the Chief Minister is scheduled to hold one-to-one meetings with prospective investors, participate in roadshows and attend roundtable discussions with industrialists and business leaders.

The visit will focus particularly on attracting FDI and showcasing Odisha as an investment-friendly destination. The Chief Minister is expected to apprise investors of the opportunities available across various sectors and the measures taken by the state government to create a conducive business environment.

During the four-day tour, Majhi will explore possibilities for bringing fresh investments to Odisha and strengthen engagement with investors based in the UAE.

The state government has been making efforts to position Odisha as a preferred investment destination by highlighting its natural resources, industrial infrastructure, skilled workforce and policy support for investors.

The UAE visit is expected to further strengthen Odisha's efforts to attract global capital and create new avenues for industrial growth, employment and economic development in the state.
