A grand Shobha Yatra was taken out in Jammu on Thursday ahead of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, with devotees participating in the procession amid religious fervour and traditional gaiety.
The procession commenced from the historic Shri Raghunath Temple and was organised in collaboration with the Sanatan Dharm Sabha and Dharmik Yuvak Mandal.
The Shobha Yatra featured beautifully decorated tableaux portraying various episodes from the life of Lord Krishna. The colourful displays attracted large crowds of devotees and spectators along the route.
The procession began following Murti Poojan at Shri Raghunath Temple. MLA Yudhvir Sethi and former minister Priya Sethi attended the religious ceremony.
Rath Poojan and Dhwajarohan ceremonies were also performed at the temple before the Shobha Yatra set off from the premises.
The procession reflected the festive spirit surrounding Janmashtami, with devotees coming together to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna through religious rituals, tableaux and traditional festivities.
