India made a difficult start to its equestrian campaign at the Asian Games on Tuesday, finishing seventh in the eventing team dressage competition.
India are currently placed seventh among the eight participating teams with 112.40 points, ahead of only Indonesia in the standings.
Hosts Japan lead the competition with 91.60 points, followed by Thailand with 95.10 and Hong Kong, China with 97.00.
India’s campaign also took a setback in the eventing team jumping competition, where the Indian team was eliminated.
With the early results putting India near the bottom of the standings, the team will look to recover in the remaining stages of the equestrian competition.
