Odisha CM Calls for Smart Policing and Technology-Driven Police Force

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday called for greater adoption of smart policing and modern technology to make the state’s police force more effective, professional and responsive to emerging challenges.

Addressing the convocation ceremony of the 13th batch of Cadet Sub-Inspectors at the Biju Patnaik State Police Academy, the Chief Minister congratulated 336 newly recruited Cadet Sub-Inspectors who successfully completed two years of rigorous indoor and outdoor training.

Majhi urged the newly inducted officers to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity while discharging their responsibilities. He emphasised the need for police personnel to continuously adapt to technological advancements and emerging challenges in policing.

The Chief Minister delivered three key messages to the newly inducted officers. He asked them to stay completely away from corruption in line with the government’s zero-tolerance policy, maintain the highest standards of discipline, and perform their duties with professionalism and dedication.

Majhi said modern policing must combine technology, discipline and public-oriented service to strengthen people’s trust in the police force. He also encouraged the young officers to remain committed to protecting citizens and maintaining law and order with fairness and sensitivity.
