New Delhi: President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu extended her heartfelt greetings and best wishes to citizens across India and abroad on the eve of Janmashtami.
In her message, the President highlighted the enduring relevance of the life and teachings of Bhagwan Shri Krishna, describing them as a source of inspiration for India’s cultural and philosophical heritage. She said that Lord Krishna showed humanity the path of truth, righteousness, justice, compassion and selfless service.
Referring to the teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, President Murmu said they continue to guide people in making prudent decisions during difficult times while remaining steadfast in moral values.
She noted that the sacred festival of Janmashtami inspires people to uphold the spirit of harmony, devotion to duty and service. She also called upon citizens to follow the ideals of Bhagwan Shri Krishna and contribute tirelessly towards building an inclusive and developed India.
The President extended her best wishes for peace, harmony and prosperity to all citizens on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami.
