Lenskart to unveil AI smart glasses

Lenskart to Launch AI-Powered Smart Glasses in December
Eyewear giant Lenskart is set to make its foray into the wearable technology space with the launch of its first AI-powered smart glasses by the end of December, sources familiar with the development said on Sunday.
Codenamed “B by Lenskart Smartglasses”, the upcoming device marks the company’s shift towards becoming a technology-driven lifestyle brand. The smart glasses are expected to feature AI-based interactions, health and wellness tracking, and even UPI payment capabilities, positioning them as a versatile gadget for everyday use.
According to industry insiders, the new smart glasses will be powered by Gemini 2.5, Google’s advanced AI model, enabling intuitive, voice-assisted functionality and personalized user experiences.
The launch is likely to take place just weeks after Lenskart’s planned stock market listing on November 10, though the final pricing details are yet to be disclosed.
Industry experts view the move as a strategic step by Lenskart to diversify beyond traditional eyewear and tap into India’s rapidly growing smart wearable segment, where tech-driven lifestyle products are gaining traction among urban consumers.
The company has not officially commented on the development, but insiders suggest that the AI-smart glasses could mark the beginning of a broader portfolio of connected eyewear products under the Lenskart brand.
