Indian Women’s Volleyball Team Secures 5th Place in AVC Challenge Cup
The Indian women’s volleyball team delivered a stellar performance, defeating Iran 3-0 to secure fifth place in the AVC Women’s Challenge Cup, held from May 22 to 29 in Manila.
In a dominating match on Wednesday, India triumphed with set scores of 25-17, 25-16, and 25-11. The team’s success was spearheaded by captain Jini, whose leadership on the court was pivotal. Blocker Soorya, along with Anushree and Silpa, also played crucial roles in securing the victory, showcasing the team’s skill and coordination.
The tournament, which saw participation from various Asian countries, provided a platform for the Indian team to demonstrate their growing prowess in the sport. Finishing fifth is a commendable achievement, reflecting the hard work and dedication of the players and coaching staff.
