The epic film, envisioned as a two-part theatrical event, is scheduled to release worldwide with Part One in Diwali 2026 and Part Two in Diwali 2027.

A Cinematic Universe Rooted in Indian Culture

Designed specifically for large-format exhibition such as IMAX, the film promises to redefine mythological storytelling with unprecedented visual grandeur and emotional depth. The Times Square digital launch has generated massive global buzz, highlighting the film’s cross-border appeal and ambition.

A Cultural Movement on a Global Stage

“With Ramayana, we’re not just retelling history; we’re introducing our legacy to the world. By bringing together the finest global talent, we aim to tell this story with authenticity, emotion, and cutting-edge cinematic innovation.”

Malhotra emphasized that this version will reimagine the landscapes, battles, and characters of the Ramayana with the epic scale and emotional gravitas they deserve. “This is our truth — and now, our gift to the world,” he added.

Honouring a Timeless Legacy

Director Nitesh Tiwari, known for his work on Dangal and Chhichhore, shared his deep emotional connection to the project:

“Ramayana is a story we’ve all grown up with. It carries the soul of our culture. Our aim was to honour that soul — and present it with the cinematic scale it truly deserves.”

Tiwari described the film as more than a production — “a vision rooted in reverence, shaped by excellence, and made to transcend borders.

A Global Spectacle with Indian Roots

With a launch spanning nine major Indian cities and a global spotlight at Times Square, the unveiling of Ramayana sets the stage for one of the most ambitious Indian cinematic ventures ever attempted. Backed by cutting-edge visual effects, world-class talent, and deep cultural respect, the film is poised to create a lasting impact both in India and on the global stage.
