Akshay Kumar Aims to Bring Real History to Audiences with ‘Kesari Chapter 2’

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has expressed his commitment to showcasing India’s untold stories of bravery and sacrifice on the big screen, emphasizing that historical narratives have often been presented through a British perspective.

Speaking about his upcoming film, “Kesari Chapter 2”, Kumar revealed that the movie will focus on the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, a tragic yet significant event in India’s fight for independence. The film follows the success of the 2019 hit “Kesari”, which depicted the heroic Battle of Saragarhi (1897).

“The people of Punjab are brave, loyal, and filled with valour. I want to bring their stories to the forefront. I also want to make ‘Kesari 3’ and ‘Kesari 4’ because there are so many inspiring chapters from Punjab and across India that deserve to be told,” Kumar said.

The actor, known for his patriotic roles, aims to highlight India’s rich and lesser-known history, celebrating the courage of those who fought against oppression. His vision for the ‘Kesari’ franchise reflects his dedication to bringing these historical events to wider audiences.
