Hockey India names 36 probables for camp
Hockey India has announced a 36-member core probable group for the Senior Men’s National Coaching Camp, scheduled to be held at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) Centre in Bengaluru from April 20 to May 9, 2026.
The camp aims to sharpen tactical cohesion, improve conditioning, and conduct match-simulation sessions as the team gears up for a packed international calendar, including the European leg of the FIH Pro League 2025–26, the upcoming World Cup, and the Asian Games.
The goalkeeping unit features experienced names like Krishan Bahadur Pathak, Suraj Karkera, and Pawan, alongside emerging talents such as Mohith Honnenahalli Shashikumar and Princedeep Singh.
In defence, the squad will be led by captain Harmanpreet Singh and Amit Rohidas, supported by Jarmanpreet Singh, Jugraj Singh, Sanjay, and Sumit, along with promising players including Poovanna Chandura Boby, Yashdeep Siwach, Nilam Sanjeep Xess, and Amandeep Lakra.
The midfield blends experience and youth with Manpreet Singh, Hardik Singh, and Vivek Sagar Prasad leading the group. They are joined by Rajinder Singh, Manmeet Singh, Moirangthem Rabichandra Singh, Vishnu Kant Singh, Raj Kumar Pal, Nilakanta Sharma, and Rosan Kujur.
The forward line includes key attackers such as Mandeep Singh, Dilpreet Singh, Abhishek, and Sukhjeet Singh. Supporting them are Shilanand Lakra, Araijeet Singh Hundal, Angad Bir Singh, Uttam Singh, Selvam Karthi, Aditya Arjun Lalage, and Maninder Singh.
The camp will play a crucial role in building team rhythm, refining combinations, and strengthening squad depth ahead of major international assignments.
