Samsung Optimistic About India Market 2026

Samsung bullish on India outlook for 2026, bets on rising economy
Leading consumer electronics major Samsung has expressed strong optimism about its India business outlook for 2026, citing positive market sentiment and improving consumer spending driven by the country’s growing economy.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026, Samsung’s Southwest Asia President and CEO JB Park said the company sees India as a key growth market. “The outlook for India is positive and bright, supported by strong economic fundamentals and increasing consumer confidence,” he said.
Outlining Samsung’s global roadmap for 2026, Park said the company plans to significantly expand its use of artificial intelligence across product categories. AI features will be scaled up in home appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators, as well as in mobile phones above certain price segments, he said.
Samsung is also investing heavily in research and development to strengthen its AI ecosystem, with India playing a central role. The company’s India-based R&D centres are contributing not only to domestic innovation but also to Samsung’s global product development, Park added.
Industry observers say Samsung’s continued focus on India underscores the country’s importance as both a major consumer market and a global innovation hub, as demand for premium, AI-enabled devices continues to rise.
