NALCO Introduces Rs 1 Crore Accident Cover for Employees, Rs 20 Lakh for Contractors

Bhubaneswar, Sep 17 : National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), the Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Mines, has announced enhanced Group Personal Accident Insurance coverage for its workforce. Under the new scheme, all regular employees will receive an accident cover of Rs 1 crore through corporate salary accounts with SBI and partner banks.

Additionally, NALCO has introduced a Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme for contractual workers, providing Rs 20 lakh coverage in case of accidental death while on duty, and Rs 10 lakh in the event of disability.

A company release stated that these initiatives align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of welfare and safety reforms in the mining sector, emphasizing improved working conditions, skill development, social security, and sustainable growth.

Guided by the Ministry of Mines and Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy, NALCO continues to implement progressive welfare measures, strengthening financial security and reaffirming its commitment to inclusive growth and employee safety.
