UPSC Declares Final Result for Combined Defence Services Exam (II), 2024
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2024. A total of 574 candidates have qualified provisionally for admission to the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai. This includes 510 candidates for the 122nd Short Service Commission Course (Non-Technical) for men and 64 candidates for the 36th Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) course, both commencing in October 2025.
The merit list also features names of candidates previously recommended for admission to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), and Air Force Academy (AFA) based on the same examination.
The government had notified 276 vacancies for the men’s Short Service Commission Course and 19 for the women’s course. The final merit list is provisional, pending medical examination results and verification of candidates’ date of birth and educational qualifications by the Army Headquarters.
Candidates can access their results and scores via the UPSC official website (http://www.upsc.gov.in), where marks will be available within 15 days of the result declaration and remain accessible for 30 days. Non-recommended candidates can also view their scores and other details online.
For assistance, UPSC has a Facilitation Counter open on working days between 10 AM and 5 PM, reachable by phone or in person. Candidates may also contact respective services for specific queries related to the IMA, INA, or AFA.
This announcement marks a significant step for aspirants aiming to serve in India’s defence forces, as they move closer to joining the prestigious Officers Training Academy.
