Gulveer Singh Breaks His Own 10,000m National Record in USA Meet
New Delhi, March 30: Indian long-distance runner Gulveer Singh has shattered his own national record in the 10,000m race, clocking an impressive 27:00.22 at The Ten competition in the United States, part of the World Athletics Continental Tour.
Singh, a Hangzhou Asian Games bronze medallist, had previously set the Indian record at 27:14.88 in Hachioji, Japan, in November last year. The 26-year-old has now rewritten history for the third time in just over a year.
Last year, he first broke the record in San Juan Capistrano, California, with a timing of 27:41.81, before surpassing it in Japan. His latest achievement further cements his status as India’s top distance runner.
With this performance, Singh continues his rapid rise in international athletics, showcasing his potential to compete at the highest level.
