Actress and global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas said she has always been confident in her abilities and value, reflecting on her journey from Bollywood to Hollywood in a recent interview.

Speaking to PTI via Zoom from Los Angeles, the 43-year-old star, who was among Hindi cinema’s highest-paid actors before moving to Hollywood, said she never walked with a “sense of weakness” despite the challenges she faced in establishing herself in Western showbiz.

“Even if people didn’t know me, it didn’t matter. I know what I bring to the table, I know what my value is, so I was never less confident. I may have had fewer opportunities. I may have had less success, but I was always confident in my skill set and my ability to know my job,” Priyanka said.

Chopra Jonas, who has become one of the most bankable Indian names globally, credits her unwavering self-belief for navigating the early days of Hollywood, where recognition and opportunities were limited. She emphasized that confidence and understanding one’s worth have been key drivers in her cross-cultural career.

The actress is currently promoting her new project The Bluff, adding another milestone to her expanding international repertoire in film and television.
