President Murmu likely to visit Rourkela

President Droupadi Murmu is likely to undertake a day-long visit to Rourkela on April 21, where she is expected to attend several programmes in the steel city.
The proposed visit was discussed by Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, who is also the Lok Sabha MP from Sundergarh, during a meeting with Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.
Speaking to reporters, Oram said the discussions with the Chief Minister covered three key issues, including the President’s proposed visit. However, he clarified that the schedule is yet to be finalised.
If confirmed, the visit will mark an important occasion for Rourkela, with preparations likely to be undertaken to host the President’s engagements in the city.
Officials are expected to finalise the itinerary in the coming days.
