President Murmu to Visit Gujarat, Maharashtra from April 13–16

New Delhi, Apr 12: Droupadi Murmu will undertake a four-day official visit to Gujarat and Maharashtra from April 13 to 16, 2026, during which she will attend a series of key academic and social events.

According to an official statement issued by the Press Information Bureau, the President will begin her visit on April 13 by gracing the first convocation ceremony of AIIMS Rajkot in Rajkot.

On April 14, coinciding with the birth anniversary of B. R. Ambedkar, she will attend the ‘Samajik Samrasta Mahotsava’ at Lok Bhavan in Gandhinagar. Later the same day, she will also preside over the fifth convocation ceremony of Rashtriya Raksha University.

Continuing her engagements, the President will travel to Nagpur in Maharashtra on April 15 to attend the second convocation ceremony of AIIMS Nagpur. She will also grace the valediction ceremony of the 78th batch of Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) officer trainees at the National Academy of Direct Taxes on the same day.

On the final day of her visit, April 16, President Murmu will attend the sixth convocation ceremony of Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya in Wardha.

The visit highlights the President’s continued focus on education, institutional excellence, and social harmony, with participation in multiple convocation ceremonies and commemorative events across the two states.
