Odisha: Woman Found Dead at Home, Father Alleges Murder by Husband

A 28-year-old woman, identified as Arati Dahuri, was found dead at her home in Ganjam district, Odisha, police reported on Tuesday.
The incident occurred in the Badagada police station area on Monday. Arati Dahuri, who is survived by her six-year-old daughter and five-month-old son, was discovered lifeless under circumstances that have raised serious allegations.
Arati’s father, Debaraj Nahak, has accused her husband of murder, alleging that she was beaten to death. The grieving father has called for a thorough investigation into his daughter’s death, seeking justice for what he believes is a case of domestic violence turned fatal.
Police have initiated an investigation and are currently questioning the husband and other family members. “We have registered a case based on the father’s complaint and are probing all angles. The body has been sent for post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death,” a police official said.
