Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has been honoured with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for 2023, recognizing his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema over four decades.

The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting announced the award on Saturday, highlighting Mohanlal’s remarkable work in films such as Iruvar, Vanaprastham, and Drishyam.

Several celebrities, including Mammootty, Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, took to social media to extend their congratulations. Mammootty, a close friend and fellow actor, expressed pride in Mohanlal’s achievement on his X handle.
