Kochhar Finishes Fifth at International Series Japan
India’s Karandeep Kochhar delivered a strong final-round performance to secure a fifth-place finish at the International Series Japan on Sunday.
Kochhar produced a remarkable late surge, carding a hat-trick of birdies on the closing holes to end the tournament on a high. He remained bogey-free in the final round, bouncing back impressively from a challenging third day.
The Indian golfer notched birdies on the 4th, 16th, 17th and 18th holes, finishing with an overall score of 12-under 272 — just three shots behind the winner.
Australia’s Travis Smyth clinched the title in dramatic fashion, sealing victory with an eagle on the final hole at the Caledonian Golf Club.
