Gurugram RERA clears pending cases backlog

Gurugram RERA Clears All Pending Cases Till 2024

The Real Estate Regulatory Authority Gurugram (RERA) has announced that it has disposed of all pending complaints up to the year 2024, marking a significant step toward faster dispute resolution in the real estate sector.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the authority said that the 2,174 cases pending as of March 31, 2025, have now been fully resolved. As a result, all cases currently under adjudication pertain only to 2025 onwards.

The authority further highlighted its performance in 2025, stating that it adjudicated 5,024 complaints during the year. Relief measures included refunds and delayed possession charges (DPC), granted based on the merits of individual cases.

Officials said the move reflects RERA’s focus on reducing backlog and ensuring timely justice for homebuyers and developers. The clearance of older cases is expected to improve efficiency and strengthen confidence in the regulatory framework governing real estate in Gurugram.

The development is being seen as a positive signal for the property market, with quicker dispute resolution likely to enhance transparency and accountability in the sector.
