PM Modi’s True Birthday Gift Is Promoting ‘Vocal for Local’: Dharmendra Pradhan

Bhubaneswar, Sep 17: Strengthening the rural economy through the promotion of “Vocal for Local” is the most meaningful gift to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said on Tuesday.

Extending greetings on behalf of the 4.5 crore people of Odisha, Pradhan prayed to Lord Jagannath for the Prime Minister’s long and healthy life.

In a video message on the occasion of Modi’s 75th birthday, Pradhan said it is a matter of immense pride for every Indian that a leader from a humble background has risen to guide the nation and enhance its global stature.

“His leadership has boosted the self-confidence of every citizen. Over the past 11 years, under his guidance, a new chapter of welfare and service-oriented governance has unfolded, focusing on the poor, farmers, women, youth, and tribal communities,” Pradhan said.

He added that Modi has consistently worked to ensure prosperity for the underprivileged, dignity for women, and confidence among the youth.

Pradhan also informed that on the Prime Minister’s 75th birthday, the BJP is observing a 15-day nationwide Seva Paksha from September 17 to October 2, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti.

Calling Modi’s life a symbol of service to the nation, the Union Minister urged the 4.5 crore people of Odisha to actively participate in Seva Paksha programmes, focusing on cleanliness, swadeshi, and self-reliance.
