Odisha Urges Centre for 1.56 Crore Mosquito Nets to Combat Malaria

In a bid to tackle the menace of malaria, the Odisha government has called upon the central government to allocate 1.56 crore Long Lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLIN). State Health and Family Welfare Minister Niranjan Pujari addressed a letter to Union Health Minister Mansukh L Mandaviya, underscoring the critical need for these nets to safeguard vulnerable populations.
Highlighting the effectiveness of LLINs in preventing malaria infections, Pujari emphasized the significant impact of the 1.56 crore nets provided by the Centre to Odisha in the previous fiscal year. This appeal underscores Odisha’s commitment to combating malaria and ensuring the health and well-being of its citizens.
