PM Modi Salutes Armed Forces On First Anniversary Of Operation Sindoor

Narendra Modi on Thursday paid tribute to the courage and professionalism of the Indian armed forces on the completion of one year of Operation Sindoor, describing it as a symbol of India’s firm resolve against terrorism.

In a message shared on social media, the Prime Minister said the armed forces had displayed “unparalleled courage, precision and resolve” during the operation and gave a fitting response to those responsible for attacking innocent Indians at Pahalgam.

Modi said Operation Sindoor reflected India’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding national security and combating terrorism. He noted that the operation highlighted the professionalism, preparedness and coordinated strength of the armed forces.

The Prime Minister also emphasised that the operation demonstrated growing synergy among the three services and showcased the benefits of India’s push for self-reliance in the defence sector.

Reiterating the government’s commitment to eliminating terrorism and its support systems, Modi said India remains steadfast in its resolve to defeat terror threats.

As part of the anniversary observance, the Prime Minister urged citizens to change their display pictures on social media platforms, including X, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, to the image shared by him as a mark of respect for the armed forces and their achievements during Operation Sindoor.

“Every Indian is proud of our armed forces,” Modi said, calling on people across the country to honour the bravery and sacrifice of military personnel.
