Equinix Opens Fourth Data Centre in Mumbai

Global digital infrastructure firm Equinix on Wednesday announced the launch of its fourth data centre in Mumbai, built with an initial investment of USD 95 million.

The new facility further strengthens the company’s presence in India’s financial capital, catering to the growing demand for digital infrastructure, cloud services, and data connectivity.

According to the company, the data centre offers capacity for more than 1,370 cabinets, enabling enterprises to scale their operations with high-performance and secure infrastructure.

Officials said the expansion reflects Equinix’s commitment to supporting India’s rapidly evolving digital ecosystem, driven by increasing data consumption, cloud adoption, and the growth of digital services.

Mumbai, a key hub for financial services and technology companies, continues to attract major investments in data centre infrastructure, positioning itself as a leading data hub in the region.
