Moti Sagar praises Ramayana teaser

Moti Sagar Backs ‘Ramayana’, Praises Ranbir’s Look as Lord Ram

Moti Sagar, son of legendary Ramanand Sagar, has expressed optimism about filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film Ramayana, saying he expects “something very good” from the ambitious project.

The reaction comes after the first look of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram was unveiled in a teaser released on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti last week. The glimpse offered audiences a sneak peek into the film’s scale and visual treatment.

While appreciating the new adaptation, Moti Sagar dismissed comparisons with the iconic 1987 TV series Ramayan created by his father, stating that the two belong to entirely different formats and eras.

“The film and the television series are very different mediums. Each has its own way of storytelling,” he indicated, urging audiences to judge the new project on its own merit.

The big-budget film, backed by producer Namit Malhotra, has generated significant buzz since the teaser release. However, reactions have been mixed, with some viewers praising its grand scale and others raising concerns over the quality of visual effects.

Despite the divided response, expectations remain high for Ramayana, which aims to bring the epic tale to the big screen with a modern cinematic approach.
