Krishi Mahakumbh to begin in Raisen

A three-day national farm fair, Krishi Mahakumbh, will be held from April 11 to 13 in Raisen, part of the parliamentary constituency of Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
According to an official statement, the event aims to bring together the entire rural economy value chain—from seed to market, and from fisheries to pearl farming—on a single platform.
The Dussehra Ground in Raisen will host a range of activities over the three days, including live demonstrations, technical sessions, training programmes, and business meetings. The fair is expected to witness participation from scientists, startups, farmer producer organisations (FPOs), self-help groups (SHGs), and rural entrepreneurs.
Organisers said the event will facilitate direct interaction among stakeholders, encouraging knowledge-sharing, innovation, and collaboration across the agriculture and allied sectors.
The Krishi Mahakumbh is envisioned as a major platform to promote modern farming techniques, strengthen rural livelihoods, and enhance market linkages for farmers and agribusinesses.
