President Murmu extends New Year greetings to citizens

President of India Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday extended her greetings and best wishes to citizens across the country and Indians living abroad on the eve of the New Year 2026.

In her message, the President said the New Year symbolises renewed energy and positive change, and offers an opportunity for self-reflection and fresh resolutions. She called upon citizens to use the occasion to strengthen their commitment to the nation’s development, social harmony and environmental protection.

Wishing peace, happiness and prosperity to all, President Murmu expressed hope that the year 2026 would infuse new energy among people to work towards building a stronger and more prosperous India.
