Nidhi Dutta Promises Border Nostalgia

‘Border 2’ Producer Nidhi Dutta: Audiences Waiting to Relive the Nostalgia

Producer Nidhi Dutta says the overwhelming response to Border 2 has reaffirmed the deep emotional bond audiences share with the iconic 1997 war drama Border. Ahead of the launch of the film’s much-anticipated song “Ghar Kab Aaoge”, Dutta expressed confidence that the sequel will allow fans to relive the nostalgia associated with the original blockbuster.

Speaking about the excitement surrounding the film, Nidhi Dutta said she is touched by the love pouring in from audiences even before the song’s official release. “Everyone is waiting to relive that nostalgia. The response so far tells us how special Border continues to be for generations of viewers,” she said.

The upcoming song “Ghar Kab Aaoge” boasts an exceptional musical collaboration, bringing together voices of Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, Vishal Mishra, and Diljit Dosanjh. The music has been composed by Anu Malik and reimagined by Mithoon, while additional lyrics have been penned by Manoj Muntashir Shukla, building upon the original lyrics written by Javed Akhtar. The track aims to carry forward the emotional legacy of the evergreen original from Border.

The teaser of the song has already crossed 7 million views across platforms, underlining the strong nostalgia and emotional connect audiences feel with the franchise.

Directed by legendary filmmaker J.P. Dutta, Nidhi Dutta’s father, Border released in 1997 and went on to become one of Hindi cinema’s most celebrated war films. With Border 2, the makers hope to honour that legacy while introducing the story to a new generation of viewers.
