Zinc futures rose by 35 paise to ₹276.50 per kilogram on Thursday, supported by increased demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for April delivery traded 0.13% higher at ₹276.50 per kg, with a business turnover of 959 lots.

Analysts attributed the price rise to fresh positions built by traders, driven by strong demand from consuming industries. The positive market sentiment is expected to keep zinc prices firm in the near term.
