World Wildlife Day: PM Modi Goes on Lion Safari in Gir

On the occasion of World Wildlife Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi went on a lion safari at the Gir Wildlife Sanctuary in Gujarat’s Junagadh district on Monday morning during his state tour.

After arriving from Somnath, where he offered prayers at the Lord Shiva temple, Modi spent the night at Sinh Sadan, a forest guest house managed by the state forest department in Sasan.

Gir Wildlife Sanctuary, the only home to Asiatic lions, holds great ecological significance. The Prime Minister’s visit highlights the importance of wildlife conservation and the efforts to protect India’s rich biodiversity.
