WIF India, Jio Studios launch Cannes scholarship

Women in Film India (WIF India) has announced the launch of a Producers Network Scholarship in partnership with the Marché du Film at the Cannes Film Festival, with support from Jio Studios.

The initiative aims to support mid-career women producers by enabling them to attend the prestigious Producers Network Breakfast series, scheduled from May 13 to 18 in Cannes.

Through the scholarship, selected participants will gain access to networking opportunities, industry insights, and international collaborations at one of the world’s most prominent film markets.

The programme builds on WIF India’s Cannes debut last year, when it supported three women producers—Rucha Pathak, Tillotama Shome, and Dimpy Agarwal—to participate in the same platform.

WIF India said the initiative is part of its broader effort to promote gender equity and create global opportunities for women in the Indian film industry.
