Vinayak Pai Elected President of CFI’s National Council
The Construction Federation of India (CFI) has announced the election of Vinayak Pai, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tata Projects Ltd, as the President of its National Council. This leadership change was confirmed in a statement released on Sunday, marking the beginning of a new two-year term for the council, covering fiscal years 2025 and 2026.
Vinayak Pai, a distinguished leader in the construction industry, brings a wealth of experience and a strategic vision to the CFI. His appointment is expected to drive significant initiatives and advancements within the federation, aligning with the industry’s evolving needs and challenges.
The National Council has also elected other key members to its leadership team. Akhil Gupta, Executive Director and CEO of Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Pvt. Ltd, has been chosen as Vice President. In addition, Priti Patel, Deputy Director at Patel Engineering Ltd, will serve as the Treasurer.
These appointments are anticipated to strengthen the CFI’s capacity to advocate for the construction sector’s interests, promote best practices, and foster sustainable development across the industry. The newly formed council is set to commence its duties immediately, focusing on key issues such as policy advocacy, industry standards, and innovation in construction practices.
