Usha Padhee assumes charge as IDCO-Chairperson

Senior bureaucrat Usha Padhee takes additional charge as IDCO Chairperson, stresses timely execution, transparency, investor facilitation, and integrated industrial-urban development in Odisha.
Bhubaneswar, Feb 9 : Senior bureaucrat and Additional Chief Secretary of the Housing and Urban Development Department, Usha Padhee, on Monday assumed additional charge as Chairperson of the Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO).
Soon after taking charge, Padhee held a detailed interaction with senior officers and staff of IDCO to review the organisation’s ongoing initiatives, key priorities, and future roadmap for strengthening industrial infrastructure in the state.
During the meeting, she stressed the importance of timely execution of projects, transparency in operations, effective inter-departmental coordination, and efficient facilitation for investors. Padhee underlined IDCO’s critical role in promoting industrial growth through land development, infrastructure creation, and investment facilitation across Odisha.
Emphasising the need for integrated development, Padhee said that industrial infrastructure must progress alongside planned urban growth. She highlighted the importance of developing well-planned industrial townships equipped with adequate civic amenities, mobility solutions, and sustainable infrastructure to ensure balanced regional development.
Padhee appreciated the efforts of the IDCO team and urged them to work with renewed commitment, professionalism, and a collaborative approach to support Odisha’s vision of accelerated industrial development and inclusive economic growth.
