India must actively participate in the global technological race by building robust capabilities while remaining cautious about potential misuse, said Jeet Adani, Director of Adani Airport Holdings Ltd, during his address at IIT Bombay’s Techfest 2024 on Monday.

Adani, the 27-year-old younger son of infrastructure magnate Gautam Adani, shared his vision of India embracing technological advancements responsibly to stay ahead on the global stage.

Highlighting the dual nature of technological progress, Adani remarked, “The future of technology is both scary and exciting. But whether it is scary or exciting, we cannot afford to ignore it or go slow in its adoption—either as a nation or as individuals.”

He emphasized that India cannot remain on the sidelines in the global race for technological dominance. “Building technological capabilities is essential for securing our position at the top,” Adani stated, while stressing the importance of using technology judiciously to avoid its misuse.
