Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed reverence for Lord Somnath, describing the deity as a symbol of pride within the timeless Sanatan culture.

Shah’s sentiments were shared during his visit to Gujarat’s jyotirlinga temple of Lord Shiva, where he extended wishes for prosperity to all. As a trustee of the Shree Somnath Trust, responsible for temple management, Shah participated in the ‘dhwaj puja’ ceremony on Friday evening. This ritual culminated with the hoisting of the temple’s flag atop its dome, following traditional procedures.
