Tarun Tahiliani Criticizes Overreliance on Tech in Fashion

Renowned designer Tarun Tahiliani believes that despite the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence in fashion, designers with a “true voice” will always stand out. Speaking at the recently concluded Lakme Fashion Week X FDCI, Tahiliani expressed concern over excessive dependence on technology and overconsumption in the industry.

Presenting his latest luxury pret collection under OTT by Tarun Tahiliani, the designer emphasized that while AI may change certain aspects of fashion, creativity and craftsmanship remain irreplaceable. “People will always return to authentic design,” he said.

With AI disrupting industries worldwide, the impact on fashion remains a topic of debate. However, Tahiliani is confident that human artistry and originality will continue to define the future of couture.
