Suneet Varma Unveils ‘Sehr’ at ICW

Suneet Varma Unveils ‘Sehr’ at India Couture Week 2025 with Riddhima Kapoor Sahni as Muse

Renowned fashion designer Suneet Varma mesmerized the audience on Day 2 of Hyundai FDCI India Couture Week 2025 with his latest collection titled ‘Sehr’, a romantic ode to the mystique of twilight. The glamorous showcase, held at the Taj Palace Hotel on Thursday evening, featured entrepreneur and jewellery designer Riddhima Kapoor Sahni as the showstopper and muse for the collection.

‘Sehr’, meaning “dawn” or “magic” in Urdu, was brought to life through a harmonious fusion of delicate craftsmanship, nature-inspired silhouettes, and rich textiles. The collection included an array of lehengas, sarees, sherwanis, dresses, and gowns—each intricately adorned with fine embroidery and floral motifs, exuding a soft, dreamlike charm.

With a color palette that balanced regal jewel tones and ethereal pastels, the pieces reflected Varma’s signature style of opulence and grace. Fabrics flowed with movement, embroidered details shimmered under the runway lights, and the natural world served as a recurring theme in the embellishments and motifs.

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, dressed in a stunning pastel creation with intricate silver threadwork, brought elegance and poise to the runway as she embodied the essence of ‘Sehr’.

Sehr is about quiet elegance, the beauty of the in-between—dusk, dawn, dreams. I wanted the clothes to speak a language of emotion and nature,” said Suneet Varma after the show.

The showcase was a highlight of India Couture Week’s second day, celebrating contemporary couture rooted in traditional Indian craftsmanship.
