Subhadra Yojana: New Eligible Applicants to Receive Funds on Feb 8

Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced on Sunday that the first installment of the ‘Subhadra Yojana,’ the BJP government’s flagship women welfare scheme, will be disbursed to eligible new applicants on February 8 in Jajpur.

The installment, originally scheduled for December 25, was postponed by the state government. Addressing media persons, Parida stated that around 2.50 lakh eligible women are still awaiting fund transfers due to pending biometric verification and National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) failures.

The ‘Subhadra Yojana’ aims to provide financial assistance to women, empowering them through direct cash transfers. The government is working to resolve the technical issues to ensure smooth disbursal of benefits.

Authorities have assured that all pending applications will be processed soon, allowing more beneficiaries to receive financial aid under the scheme.
