STPI-Supported Startups Secure ₹286 Crore in Investor Funding
A total of 134 startups supported by the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) have raised ₹286 crore in funding from investors, a top official announced.
Speaking at the STPI Sangam event on Friday, STPI Director General Arvind Kumar highlighted that the organization, under the Ministry of Electronics and IT’s Next Generation Incubation Scheme (NGIS), has provided early-stage seed capital of ₹30.87 crore to 136 startups. Additionally, 359 startups have received financial incentives amounting to ₹3.57 crore in the form of stipends.
“Amongst these supported startups, 134 have also been able to raise external funding from an investor community comprising angels and venture capitalists of about ₹286 crore, which is not only a validation of their business but also a testament to their progress,” Kumar stated.
STPI continues to play a crucial role in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in India’s technology ecosystem, supporting startups in their early stages and helping them scale through financial aid and incubation support.
