Seven PM Surya Ghar Beneficiaries from Odisha to Attend Republic Day Parade in Delhi

Seven beneficiaries of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijlee Yojana from Odisha’s Ganjam district have been invited as special guests to witness the Republic Day parade at Kartavya Path, New Delhi, on January 26.

These beneficiaries were selected for their exemplary efforts in utilizing the government’s flagship solar energy program. Under the scheme, they installed rooftop solar panels, contributing to a sustainable and eco-friendly energy model in their communities.

An official stated that their participation as special guests highlights the success of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijlee Yojana in promoting clean energy and empowering citizens. The initiative aims to reduce dependence on traditional energy sources while encouraging households to adopt renewable energy solutions.

“This is not only an honor for the beneficiaries but also a moment of pride for Ganjam district and Odisha as a whole,” the official added.

The scheme, which provides financial assistance and support for the installation of rooftop solar panels, has been well-received in Odisha. It has not only reduced electricity bills for families but also contributed to environmental conservation.

The beneficiaries’ presence at the Republic Day celebration underscores the government’s commitment to recognizing and celebrating the contributions of ordinary citizens in building a sustainable future for the country.
