Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), arrived in Odisha on Thursday for a five-day visit. His schedule includes a series of in-house meetings and visits to significant sites across the state.

Bhagwat touched down at Biju Patnaik International Airport around 1:20 pm and proceeded to the Utkal Bipanna Sahayata Samiti office in the Mancheswar area, where he will be based for the initial part of his stay.

On August 9, Bhagwat is set to visit the pilgrim town of Puri. His itinerary includes offering prayers at the Shree Jagannath Temple, visiting Gobardhan Peeth, and meeting with Puri Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda Saraswati.

The visit marks an important occasion for RSS activities in Odisha, with Bhagwat’s presence expected to bolster the organization’s outreach and engagements in the region.
