Royal Enfield Reports 8% Decline in May Sales
Motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield announced an 8% decrease in total sales for May, with 71,010 units sold compared to 77,461 units in the same month last year.
Domestic sales fell by 10%, with 63,531 units sold last month, down from 70,795 units in May 2023. However, the company saw a positive trend in its exports, which increased by 12%, rising to 7,479 units from 6,666 units in the previous year.
In a statement, Royal Enfield attributed the decline in domestic sales to various market conditions but remained optimistic about the growing demand in international markets. The company continues to focus on expanding its global footprint while addressing the challenges in the domestic market.
