Reckitt, PATH-CHRI launch health accelerator

Reckitt Partners with PATH-CHRI to Launch ‘Dettol Banega Swasth India’ Maternal & Child Health Tech Accelerator

In a bid to revolutionize maternal and child healthcare in India, Reckitt has partnered with global nonprofit PATH and the Centre for Health Research and Innovation (CHRI) to launch the Dettol Banega Swasth India – Maternal and Child Health Tech Accelerator. The initiative aims to foster innovative solutions for improving health outcomes during the first 1,000 days of life, a critical period for child development and maternal well-being.

The accelerator seeks India’s brightest innovators with product-ready solutions (TRL 9) to address gaps in maternal and child health, particularly in underserved communities. Shortlisted participants will present their solutions at a high-impact pitch event on September 15-16, judged by public health experts, policymakers, and grassroots changemakers. The top five solutions will be implemented in partnership with Plan India and awarded on October 2 during the launch of Dettol Banega Swasth India Season 12.

The program aligns with the Government of India’s vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, leveraging initiatives like Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, and the Universal Immunization Program to strengthen public health infrastructure. By connecting innovators with healthcare systems, the initiative aims to empower frontline workers, caregivers, and mothers while promoting early interventions in reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health.

Gaurav Jain, Executive Vice President, South Asia, Reckitt, said, “Through this accelerator, we aim to transform bold ideas into scalable, real-world solutions that reach the last mile, strengthen health systems, and improve lives, supporting India’s journey toward Viksit Bharat @2047.”

Neeraj Jain, Director, Growth Operations, PATH, added, “Innovation and collaboration are the twin engines driving public health impact. This initiative bridges innovators with public health systems to ensure every child in India has an equal chance to survive and thrive.”

With a focus on hygiene, innovation, and preventive healthcare, the Dettol Banega Swasth India – Maternal and Child Health Tech Accelerator is set to catalyze transformative solutions in India’s healthcare landscape, particularly for marginalized communities across 500 aspirational blocks.
