Ravi Kishan Reflects on Struggles and Success in Cinema

Actor-politician Ravi Kishan on Sunday opened up about his journey in the film industry, revealing the struggles he faced to establish his identity. Known for his significant contribution to Bhojpuri cinema, Kishan has earned fame with hit films like Panditji Batai Na Biyah Kab Hoyi and Banke Bihari MLA. He has also made his mark in Hindi films such as Hera Pheri, Tere Naam, Raavan, Mukkabaaz, Batla House, and his latest Laapataa Ladies.

In an interview, Kishan shared that despite facing several challenges, he always believed that his “sunrise” would come. “I had to struggle a lot to create my identity. I acted in Hindi, Telugu, and films in almost every language. People watched me on television as well. I knew I had the craft of acting and wanted to create a fusion of naturalism and swag, but I didn’t get many opportunities to showcase that,” he said. Kishan’s versatility across various languages and platforms has made him one of the most celebrated stars in the industry.
