Rashid Khan Shoots 68 in First Round, Tied Fourth at Taiwan Masters
India’s Rashid Khan made an impressive start at the weather-affected Mercuries Taiwan Masters, shooting a four-under 68 to lie tied for fourth place at the Taiwan Golf & Country Club. After a two-day delay, Khan showcased his skills and remains a strong contender in the tournament.
Fellow Indian golfer S Chikkarangappa also had a solid performance, finishing the first round with a score of 69, placing him tied for ninth. SSP Chawrasia and Karandeep Kochhar both recorded scores of 70, putting them tied for 17th position.
Varun Chopra shot a 71 to be tied for 27th, while Yuvraj Sandhu and T-Gaganjeet Bhullar ended the round with scores of 72 and 73, respectively, leaving them tied for 60th.
With the tournament still underway, Rashid Khan’s strong opening round positions him well as he aims for another title on the Asian Tour.
