Ranbir Kapoor Expresses Excitement for Playing Lord Ram in ‘Ramayana’
Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has expressed his enthusiasm about portraying the iconic role of Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious cinematic adaptation of the epic “Ramayana.” Scheduled for release in two parts, the film is a retelling of “India’s greatest story,” with the first installment set to hit theaters during Diwali 2026 and the second in 2027.
In his recent statement, Kapoor shared, “It is a dream for me to essay the role of Lord Ram. This project is special, and I’m thrilled to be part of this monumental story.”
The film, produced by Namit Malhotra of Prime Focus Studios, has generated immense buzz. Reports suggest that Sai Pallavi will play Sita, while Yash of “KGF” fame is reportedly cast as Ravan. However, the official confirmation of the cast is awaited.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is expected to bring a grand visual spectacle to the big screen, celebrating the timeless values and narratives of the Ramayana.
