Rajpal Yadav Thanks Fans, Suggests Smoking Rooms in Jail
Actor Rajpal Yadav expressed gratitude to the film fraternity and his fans for their support following his release from Tihar Jail, and suggested the introduction of designated smoking rooms in prisons.
Speaking to PTI Video at his ancestral village in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Yadav, who was jailed in connection with a cheque-bounce case, said he was overwhelmed by the “immense love” he received from people during his time in custody.
Yadav proposed that prisons should have “designated smoking areas inside jails, similar to facilities at railway stations and airports,” emphasizing the need to provide certain comforts for inmates while maintaining order.
The actor’s comments reflect a lighter moment after his legal ordeal, highlighting both his appreciation for public support and his unconventional suggestion for prison reform.
