Rajat Patidar Named RCB Captain for IPL 2025

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have appointed Rajat Patidar as their captain for the upcoming IPL 2025 season, set to begin on March 21.
Patidar, who has been with RCB since 2022, was among the franchise’s retained players ahead of last year’s mega auction. The 31-year-old brings leadership experience, having captained Madhya Pradesh in domestic tournaments like the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (T20) and Vijay Hazare Trophy (ODI).
Under his leadership, Madhya Pradesh reached the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy final last year but fell short against Mumbai, losing by five wickets.
With this appointment, RCB aims to revamp their leadership and push for their maiden IPL title. Patidar’s appointment signals a fresh approach for the franchise, and fans will be eager to see how he leads the team in the upcoming season.
