Rajasthan CM Grants ₹20 Crore Aid

Rajasthan CM Sanctions ₹5 Crore Each to Four Border Districts, Cancels Leaves of Govt Employees

In a decisive move aimed at bolstering development and preparedness in sensitive regions, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Thursday sanctioned ₹5 crore each for four border districts—Barmer, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, and Sriganganagar.

The announcement came after a high-level review meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, during which he held discussions with district collectors (DCs) and superintendents of police (SPs) from the respective areas. According to an official statement, the funds are to be released with immediate effect.

Emphasizing the strategic importance of these districts, Sharma issued special instructions to local authorities and directed them to ensure that administrative machinery remains fully functional and alert. In a related directive, the Chief Minister ordered the cancellation of all leaves of state government employees to ensure uninterrupted public service and vigilance in the region.

The decision underscores the state government’s proactive approach to addressing both developmental and security concerns in the border areas.
